Ageas Bowl
Southampton, England
May 24, 2014
Hi Everyone,
This month’s video goes all the way back to… two months ago - May 2014!
It’s not a video that I would exactly call “from the archives”, but it IS in the archives now and it’s a show that we’ve gotten lots of response about.
This month’s video is that very wet, very cold, very late, very amazing Southampton show that I wrote about in my last note on Facebook.
Once again, let me say that the audience was heroic. They must have been sitting in water, they must have been as cold as we were on the stage, and many of them had been through a frustrating ticket fiasco.
But through all of that, they were a wonderful audience. I’ll always be grateful to these lovely people for staying and for being such a great audience.
One technical apology: The wind and the rain wreaked havoc on the lighting system. At around ten minutes into the show, the back video wall totally blew. So you’ll be seeing a black screen behind the band where there should have been video and color.
Looking back on that mini-tour, Southampton has turned out to be one of my favorite memories of the tour.
Thanks again to the folks who were there and I hope you’ve all gotten over your double pneumonia!
Love,
Barry
