Hi Everyone,
Well, here we are, at the end of another year.
We wanted to give you something special for the end of the year video and I think we found it.
This month’s MTV is the 1997 New Year’s Eve concert at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles, California bringing in 1998.
We were in the middle of one of my favorite tours, the “Reminiscing Tour” or as we all refer to it, the “Clicker” tour.
We showed you a “Clicker” episode a while back, but because every show had different songs in them, this one is totally different than the one we aired.
We get to do rarities like “Once Upon A Time”, “Life Will Go On”, “Once In Love With Amy” the stirring “If We Only Have Love” and more.
And it ends with bringing in the New Year!
As I said in describing the “Clicker” tour last time, I’m always amazed at the sound of this show and the talent on the stage.
When we do “As Time Goes By”, you would think that there was a bona-fide big band accompanying me, but in truth there was only five amazing musicians.
The show ends with our usual fun New Year’s Eve ending that includes celebrity bobble-heads, hundreds of balloons and Debra Byrd! It really is just plain crazy!
I remember walking through the audience, singing “It’s Just Another New Year’s Eve” and feeling an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
Seeing the familiar faces of these wonderful fans who have been with me from the beginning nearly brought me to tears. You’ll see.
Happy New Year my friends. With all of the anger and divisivness that is tearing our poor country apart, our little Manilow world is still full of love and joy and I couldn’t be prouder of that.
Love,
Barry

Hope you’re all happy and healthy.
This month’s MTV is a real rare one.
Back in 1993 Arista asked me to put together a “Boxed Set” as my next album. “Boxed Sets” were the big thing that year. Artists that had an extremely long and successful career would create a boxed set of thei...
