Now here’s a real rare video.
Yokohama, Japan, 1992.
This tour took us from Las Vegas to the Philippines, to Singapore, to Japan and then New Jersey!
All the Melatonin in the world won’t help that jet lag!
This show in Yokohama was one that I will never forget. The audience was amazing all night long, but it was the ending all of us will always remember.
The show was done, the choir was singing their hearts out, the curtain closed, the house lights came up. And no one left. Wild applause and screaming. Walk out music got louder and louder and so did the audience. An announcer told the people that the show was over and to have a good night. No one left. Wild screaming and applauding.
This went on for ten minutes until I sent the band back on stage and followed them out.
I was overwhelmed.
Someone yelled, “Somewhere In The Night” and of course we did it.
What a night this was.
Those beautiful Japanese people have been so loyal and so loving to me and my music for so many years. I’ll never be able to thank them enough. This is such a great memory.
During the show, I did a song called “Another Life” which came off of the Box Set which had just come out.
I only performed this song for two months and then moved on to other singles.
It’s a wonderful song written by Preston Sturges and Andy Hill. My band and singers sound great on the song and I loved singing it.
Enjoy,
Barry
