Hi Everyone,
This month’s ManilowTV is the complete version of our show at Paris Las Vegas that we did from 2010 to 2011.
It was the most beautiful show we had ever done.
I created it with the genius Jeffrey Hornaday and his brilliant team of magicians.
It was the most complicated and technical show I’d ever been involved in. And expensive!! Holy Mackerel!
But it was gorgeous. I’m sure you’ll agree when you see this video.
The only problem was that I couldn’t change anything. I was locked into the same production every night because even one minor change would cause havoc.
Coming from five years at the Las Vegas Hilton where I could change songs, dances, jokes, insert medleys, and rearrange the set of songs, I was shocked that I had let it happen.
The audiences loved the Paris show. Standing ovations night after night. I could hear “oohs and ahhs” each time the (expensive!) scene would change.
But I sure did learn a lesson from that experience.
Make the show beautiful, but not so complicated that it can’t change when we feel like it.
I’m so happy with our new and gorgeous show at Westgate. And you can be sure I’ll be using that stage as my “sandbox” again and changing things around when the spirit moves me.
Enjoy this gorgeous (and expensive!!) Paris show this month.
Love,
Barry

Heart, humor and humanity…
