This next episode was never meant to be seen by anyone but the people who were involved in the show. The quality of this episode is very, very rough. Blurry video, distorted sound abounds. I hadn’t seen it in many years and after watching it, I thought that my friends and fans would enjoy seeing a very young guy trying to entertain an audience that was so in his corner.
I remember that year. My career had continued to explode and I just couldn’t understand why. I felt like a fish out of water. I still didn’t know the techniques of performing or talking to an audience. It was all so new and foreign to me.
And yet as I watch this home video, I can see the potential in this young man, trying his best to communicate with a roomful of strangers.
I always knew that the music was solid. And it was. But what was I doing on that stage???!!
I’ve said this before, but I’ll always be eternally grateful to all of you who were there cheering me on, telling me in your own way to keep going; that you liked what I did and you’d be there for me as I learned on the job.
I hope I’ve come through for you, my friends.
Here’s young Barry, stumbling around the stage but, making some great music and by the way, being pretty funny!
Hope you enjoy this one.
Love,
Barry
