SHOWSTOPPERS
Universal Amphitheater
Los Angeles, CA
December 31st, 1991
This is one of my most cherished videos. I’m very happy to share it with you. The SHOWSTOPPERS Tour was never recorded by a professional company, so this is the only record there is of this show.
I put the production together with the brilliant Ken and Mitzie Welch after recording the “Showstoppers” CD.
This was the first time I had a cast of people with me. And what talents they were! Debra Byrd, Kevyn Brackett, Donna Cherry, Michelle Nicastro and Craig Meyer. What fun we had!
Every night the audiences rose to their feet as the names of all the songwriters we had been celebrating descended.
It was such an honor for me to sing these songs and to be surrounded by such talent.
This was the New Years Eve show in L.A. and it gets pretty wild at the end of the show.
Once again, thanks to Marc Hulett for giving us a wonderful memory of this show.
My best wishes to you and yours for a Happy Holiday and Happy New Year!
Barry
