Hi Everyone,
Well, Spring has sprung. I love Spring. Feels like things are beginning. And boy, are they ever here in Manilow-Land!
“Harmony” our beloved musical, is in Previews and the word of mouth seems to be very positive. Our first Preview was a scary experience for the cast and crew since the first Preview of any show is never ready.
But I knew that it would be just fine because my loyal and wonderful fans showed up and got the sold out crowd and the cast rolling! For those of you who were there, I thank you for schlepping all the way downtown and for being such a receptive audience. It gave the entire company such a shot of confidence and excitement.
There are no people like Manilow fans. I’m so grateful that you’re still with me, supporting all of my work and cheering me on year after year. You are all my greatest blessing.
Now on to this month’s MTV.
It’s a real interesting concert. It’s the concert we did in New Orleans before we did songs beginning Super Bowl weekend.
We had some wonderful lighting effects, but all we could find was the “Close-Up” camera, so you’re stuck staring at my face for the entire show.
We were promoting the “Here At The Mayflower” album and the eventual aborted production of “Harmony”.
We did 10 songs that the audience had never heard. As I watched it I thought, “I must have been nuts to do something like that!”. But this New Orleans crowd were fantastic.
Once again, I attribute the excitement of the crowd to my wonderful fans in the audience who got everyone to cheer, stand and love everything. How can I ever thank you?
I think you’ll really enjoy this concert because of all the rare songs that are in it.
Love,
Barry

Hi everyone,
This audio file is a very rare one.
It’s a benefit I did for the Annenberg Museum in Palm Springs.
I did it with one of the great spiritual speakers that bases out of Palm Springs. He’s very loved in the Coachella Valley.
Very smart, very experienced and so well spoken.
