"Big Fun" Tour
Northrup Auditorium
Minneapolis, MN
December 16th, 1987
Hi Everyone,
This episode is a very rare one.
We video taped this in 1987 at the start of the “Big Fun” tour in Minneapolis. (Very cold in Minneapolis!).
We continued to tour with this show for two years. And of course, it morphed into a totally different show by the end of the tour. We recorded this show professionally a year later, but this is the beginning of this production.
It includes songs, sketches and production that we dropped along the way. A very rare video.
Of course, once again, Marc was stationed in the back of the house, so you’ll have to hang in during the beginning of the show until the camera finds its proper lighting and sound.
But once it settles in, it’s a fascinating look at how this show began.
When I watched it and I heard myself announce that we were now beginning a tour that would last two years(!!), I nearly fell of my chair! But I must say, it was the most fun two years I’ve can remember.
All I remember was laughing. It turned into such a loving and talented family that everyone involved in this tour will never forget it.
The audiences, every night, were the best. So kind, so encouraging, so excited. If you were there, I thank you so much for your support.
So, give this one a chance to settle in with audio and video and I think you’ll really enjoy it.
